During his visit to the India Bangalore Mission on 23 May, Elder Jay E. Jensen of the Presidency of the Seventy spoke to the staff of the Bangalore India Service Center.  After expressing his love and that of the Prophet for them, he responded to questions and taught those assembled.  He described his love for the scriptures and especially the Book of Mormon.

Elder Jensen noted the many examples of challenges the people in the Book of Mormon faced and how the gospel helped those who were followers of Jesus Christ prepare for his first coming and appearance among them.  Similarly, he taught, we can learn from the teachings of Book of Mormon prophets what we must do to face our challenges and prepare for the Second Coming of the Savior.  An important purpose of the Restored Church is to prepare the world for His coming.

Elder Jensen concluded by describing the great attribute of submissiveness.  As we seek to emulate the many qualities of the Savior, let us be as the Savior and be submissive and obedient to our Heavenly Father in all things.
